Children's Village Student Attacked and Robbed

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- A 14-year-old male student at Children’s Village was attacked by a group of males and robbed on Dec. 15 according to police. The victim had his baseball style hat, which is valued at $75, stolen from him after he was struck by the attackers outside of the Lanza Building. The male suffered swelling and bruising to the right eye and was taken to the school’s medical center. The incident is still under investigation.

A 35-year-old Ossining woman had her purse, which contained $6 and 12 credit cards, stolen from inside her vehicle while parked at the New York Sports Club on Dec. 13 according to police. Police said the purse, which is valued at $100, was in the passenger side front seat and the window was smashed out in the car as well.   

Police said a 39-year-old female case worker at Children’s Village reported that a 15-year-old male student had damaged her 2010 Nissan. The vehicle had a scratch from the rear driver side all the way to the front bumper with various other scratches on the bumper and hood. The incident occurred on Dec. 14 around 3:30 p.m. while the vehicle was parked in the Smith Cottage parking lot. Police said the damaged was estimated at $2,400. No arrests have been made as police are still investigating.

A Dobbs Ferry woman was the victim of identity theft sometime between Dec. 4 and Dec. 12, according to police. Police said a total of $120 was taken out of her savings account without her knowledge. The matter is still under investigation.

A 42-year-old Yonkers man was issued a ticket for public urination outside of the New York Sports Club on Dec. 12. Police said plain clothes officers witnessed the man urinating in the parking lot just before 4:30 p.m. when they issued him the ticket. 

Police said a 36-year-old Dobbs Ferry woman had the two front tire lug nuts stolen off of her 2005 Kia sometime between Dec. 12 and Dec. 13. The lug nuts are valued at $40, according to police.
