Ardsley Police Say Local Man Was Victim of Fraud

ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- Ardsley police said a 72-year-old White Plains man was the victim of fraud recently. The man reported fraudulent charges on his debit card to the sum of $831. Police said the man was reviewing his statement and realized there were withdrawals that he said he didn't make. The man's bank is currently investigating the matter.

-- Dobbs Ferry police said the rear window of a 2001 Infinity was smashed out while parked in the owner's driveway on Northfield Ave. The 28-year-old female owner reported the incident to police who said it occurred sometime overnight between Aug. 13 and Aug. 14. Police said there was a rock in the car that smashed through the window and rocks in the driveway. The garage door also had dents in it.

-- The St. Christopher School was a victim of criminal mischief on Aug. 14 after a window on the east side rear door of the family center was shattered. Dobbs Ferry police said a large rock was on the floor inside and several bunk beds and frames were dismantled in the center as well.
