HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. The Hastings Recreation Departments senior fitness programs will start up again Sept. 10 for residents 55 and older.
There is a $20 charge for residents and a $40 charge for non-residents, according to an email sent by the department.
All participating residents will be issued a photo identification activity card, which will allow the holder to attend all recreation programs. The programs will be at the James Harmon Community Center.
The following classes will be offered as part of the program: Yoga: An hour-long chair yoga session will be at 11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. An hour-long mat yoga session is offered at 10 a.m. Wednesdays. Line Dancing: Line dancing is offered from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesdays. Tai Chi Chuan: The ancient Chinese martial arts practice is offered from 11 11:45 a.m. Fridays. Land Aerobics: An aerobics class is offered from 11 a.m. to noon Thursdays.
