"As we share in the joy, light & spirit of the joined Thanksgiving and Chanukah holidays, the Hebrew School students want to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than themselves," a Chabad spokesman said in a statement.

Parents and children will come together to wrap hundreds of toys for distribution to area children. Families from Chabad will be visiting local hospitals and organizations that are in need of gifts for sick and underprivileged children.

This year, gifts will be given to the YMCA Tarrytown, Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla and Children’s Hospital @ Montefiore in the Bronx. All of these deserving organizations have a holiday gift distribution program that Chabad of the Rivertowns is happy to contribute to.
