HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - David Treacy, a 32-year resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, died Dec. 12 surrounded by family at his home. He was 67.
Raised in Yonkers, Treacy also lived in Dobbs Ferry for six years. He married Lenore Faillace on Apr. 8, 1967 at St. Peter's Church in Yonkers. He worked at Bayer Diagnostics in Tarrytown until he retired in 2004.
Treacy was a member of the Southside Club in Hastings and a former member of the Lud-Dale Club in Yonkers. He enjoyed coaching basketball, baseball and softball.
He is survived by his wife Lenore, his son Michael and his wife Maria, his daughter Allison, his sisters Betty Jane (Donald) Harrington, Carrie Lee Watt, his brother William Watt, his foster sisters Patsy Chase and Roseanne (Pat) Hunt. He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and George Treacy, his foster family Rose and Mike Flynn and his sister Carole Wasylenko.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Matthew Church in Hastings-on-Hudson.
