McArthur's American Grille on Washington Avenue and Oliver's in Katonah will also follow suit that night. All three restaurants are owned by Doug Crossett, who confirmed the closures.
Crossett has not revealed why the establishments are closing but soon-to-be former patrons say Pleasantville won't be the same.
Michael’s Tavern has been a second home to Caitlin Doddy of Pleasantville, 24, who began working there at 16 years old.
“If you would have told me then how much of an impact it would have on the person I am today I would’ve not believed it,” said Doddy, who graduated Pace in 2014. “Michael’s Tavern not only taught me life lessons but gave me life long memories and my best friends. I am heartbroken to see it go.”
Pedro Rivera remembers the joint as a gathering place for any occasion.
“No matter who you were friends with, who you may have disliked everyone put their things aside and just enjoyed the night,” said Rivera, 25, who graduated Pace in 2012.
Vitoria Bernardes, who graduated Pace in 2015, spent many Saturday nights working the bar.
“I will be missing Michael’s dearly — it was a great job,” said the 24-year-old. “It actually helped me pay for and get through school.”
