SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. – Sabrina Charles-Pierre, an unsuccessful school board candidate, has been named to a vacancy on the East Ramapo Board of Education, according to a report in LoHud.com.
Charles-Pierre, 28, was appointed to fill the seat of Juan Pablo Ramirez, who was elected in May but left the board shortly thereafter, LoHud reported.
The new board member ran against Ramirez and the board majority, which has come under fire for cuts to programs and personnel and not serving the interests of students, according to LoHud.
