RAMAPO, N.Y. --- Ramapo police said they investigated a report of a possibly intoxicated driver on Route 202 Sunday evening, May 29.
The unidentified female motorist was found to be under the influence of drugs, police said
She was charged with driving while intoxicated and with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, police said.
She is to appear in Ramapo Justice Court in June to answer the charges, police said.
Police also said they investigated 10 motor vehicle accidents Sunday, including one that resulted in injuries.
That accident happened on Route 17 in the village of Sloatsburg, police said.
The other accident locations were: Oxford Court, North Main Street and Viola Road, Hillcrest; Shuart Road, Campbell Avenue, and Route 59, Airmont; Route 306, Wesley Hills; Tulip Lane, Pomona; and Sutin Place, Chestnut Ridge.
They answered a total of 130 calls for service including six medical emergencies, 23 alarm activations,13 fire calls, and two other arrests, one for aggravated operation of a motor vehicle and the other for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.
