SUFFERN, N.Y. – A box truck was split open Wednesday after it struck a ledge on the Chestnut Street bridge in Suffern, police said.
The driver had apparently pulled too far to the right while going under the bridge, which is near the village’s train station.
The truck’s roof was completely ripped off.
Chestnut Street and Ramapo Avenue had to be temporarily closed while the mess was cleaned up.
No one was injured in the accident, police said.
It was not known if any charges were being brought against the driver.
