The sweep took place on Thursday, Oct. 31, when the two offices teamed up to enforce the supervision of probationers through home visits, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta.

One visit led to the arrest of three people including Lorenzo Lopez, 52, Devin Zarnoff, 26, both of the Town of Newburgh, and Nancy Corrigan, 45, of Wappinger Falls, after they were found in possession of drugs.

Lopez was found in possession of crack cocaine and several pill bottles containing Oxycodone, Tramadol, and Dexmethylphenidate, commonly known as Adderall, Arteta said.

All of the pills are controlled substances. Lopez was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance endangering the welfare of a child, and violation of probation.

Corrigan was charged with possession of a controlled substance; Zarnoff was charged with false personation.

“The current epidemic of overdose deaths related to opioid use calls out for operations such as these and our collaborative efforts with probation, Orange County Sheriff Carl E. DuBois said. "Joint operations provide a resourceful approach to positively impact the safety of our communities.”

All three were arraigned before Justice Clarino in the Town of Newburgh court.

Bail was set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 secured bond for Lopez. Corrigan was arraigned and released on her own recognizance. Zarnoff was arraigned and released on his own recognizance, then turned over to the New York State Police on an outstanding bench warrant, Arteta said.
