NEW CITY, N.Y. -- A Suffern man was arrested for driving under the influence during a STOP-DWI detail on Route 59 early Sunday, June 26.
Jorge Bravo-Barrales, 40, was found to be intoxicated during the stop at the checkpoint and was arrested, according to Sheriff's Chief William Barbera.
The detail was a joint venture between the Rockland County Sheriff's Office and the Ramapo Police Department, Barbera said. Due to a fire on the same night, the detail was cut short.
Bravo-Barrales was charged at the STOP-DWI mobile processing center with driving under the influence and released on a summons to appear in court, Barbera said.
The STOP-DWI enforcement detail was funded by the Rockland County STOP-DWI Office.
