Neftaly Roque-Ramirez faces charges of attempted murder and arson after he allegedly set fire to a white pickup truck at the 76 West Street house and then set fire to the floor at the front door, a window and the mailbox, Spring Valley Detective Robert Bookstein said, added lohud.com.

Police said the attempted murder charges are for the potential the flames could have killed the people inside the house, reported lohud.com.

Roque-Ramirez was also charged with two counts of second-degree arson, as well as second-degree attempted burglary, said lohud.com.
