RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo Police responded to a burglary in progress at a home in New Hempstead on Sunday.
The homeowner saw someone enter the residence through a window and the suspect realized the house was occupied and fled the scene ahead of police arrival. Ramapo Detectives are investigating the incident.
Other police activity included accidents at the following locations: Route 306-Kaser, Remsen Avenue-Monsey, Route 59-Airmont, North Main Street-Hillcrest, College Road-Viola, Orchard Street-Monsey, Route 306-Viola, and Route 306-Wesley Hills. In total police had 95 calls for service on Sunday including: 13 Alarm Activations; One Fire; 11 Medical Emergencies; 0 Arrests
