MONSEY, N.Y. – Ramapo police discovered black smoke billowing out of an illegal bakery on Forshay Road in Monsey on Thursday, according to lohud.com.
Ramapo police and an engine from the Monsey Fire Department responded to calls about black smoke, lohud.com said.
The bakery is owned by Congregation Ateres Yisroel, which has received many citations and building code violations over the last few years, reported lohud.com.
Police said there were no injuries and no reports of fire, lohud.com noted.
