RAMAPO, N.Y. -- The Ramapo Police Department hosted a K-9 training program recently at the Tallman Fire Department
Sixty Police K-9’s participated in the program. The training consisted of one day of formal narcotics and one day of explosives certification in accordance with the United States Police K-9 Association.
The following agencies participated in the training/certification program on May 17 and 18: Ramapo Police Department, Endicott Police Department, Mount Vernon Police Department, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Kent Police Department, New Jersey State Police, Clarkstown Police Department, Yonkers Police Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, SUNY Albany Police Department, MTA Police, NYPD, NYPD Transit Bureau K-9 Team and Amtrack Police.
Buckwild Towing and Four Starr Automotive also contributed to the program. They delivered seven unregistered cars that were used for K-9 searches.
