RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police have arrested a 38-year-old Suffern resident for driving without a valid license.

Police received a report of a car parked in the road in front of the police station at 5:33 a.m. Saturday, according to officials.

Officers responded and said they discovered a man sleeping behind the wheel of the car, which was parked partially on the road. Further investigation showed his New York license was suspended, police report.

The man was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, according to officials.

Police also reported two motor vehicle accidents Saturday -- one on Route 59 and another on Annette Lane, both in Airmont.

Officers responded to 88 calls for service Saturday.

Police rendered assistance in 12 alarm activations, a fire, 13 medical emergencies and two motor vehicle accidents. A total of three arrests were made, including the man charged with unlicensed operation. The other two arrests were for bench warrants out of the Town of Ramapo Justice Court. Both parties were arraigned and released upon posting bail, according to police.
