HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- Several Ramapo police officers and a dispatcher were recognized recently at the Haverstraw Elks Lodge #877's annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night.

Honored for their "outstanding police work," the officers - Sgt. Christopher Youngman, Detective Robert Fitzgerald, Detective Peter Louzan, Officer John Curley and Dispatcher Eileen Maschak - each received plaques, according to a statement Wednesday from the department.

"We are proud of each and every one of the award recipients," the department said in the statement. "Thank you to the Haverstraw Elks for their longtime commitment and recognition to our profession. We appreciate the support."
