ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A Nyack man was busted for drinking and driving after nearly hitting a police patrol cruiser.
An officer with the Ramapo Police Department was driving in Hillcrest at approximately 9:25 p.m. on Thursday night when the 40-year-old motorist abruptly cut him off and proceeded to swerve all over the road, according to police.
The officer conducted a traffic stop, where it was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence. He was subsequently arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was processed in Ramapo Town Court and released on bail. He is due back in court later this year.
