Motorist Flees Scene After Crashing Into Lake, Ramapo PD Says

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A driver who crashed a vehicle into Lake Suzzane around 5 a.m. Monday and then fled, is still on the run, according to Ramapo Police.

Ramapo officers responded to the scene after a receiving a call of an accident in the area of Suzanne Drive and Francis Place in Monsey, police said.

Once on scene, officers said they discovered that a vehicle have gone over a guardrail and was partially into Lake Suzzane. The driver was nowhere to be found.

Police are continuing their investigation.
