ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – A West Nyack man is facing charges after Orangetown police accused him of breaking into a locker at a local fitness center, according to authorities.
Gerard Campitiello, 26, was arrested Monday in connection with the incident at Vision Fitness Center in Pearl River, police said.
Police said that Campitiello forced open a locker there on Sunday and took a wallet with money, credit cards and personal identification.
He has been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony; fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor; and petty larceny, a misdemeanor, police said.
Campitiello was arraigned in Orangetown Justice Court and sent to Rockland County Jail, police said.
