RAMAPO, N.Y. – A man who had been wanted in connection with an Airmont burglary has been captured, Ramapo police said.
Michael Russo, 54, who is homeless, was located in the village of Suffern by police Sunday and arrested without incident.
Police said they had received a tip regarding Russo's whereabouts.
He has been charged with burglary and possession of burglars’ tools in connection with the Jan. 1 break-in at an office on Route 59 in the village, police said.
Russon was arraigned in Airmont Justice Court and sent to Rockland County Jail in lieu of $500 bail, police said.
He is scheduled to return to court on Thursday.
