Domestic Violence Arrest Leads Ramapo Police Blotter

RAMAPO, N.Y. – A domestic violence arrest was the main incident on Monday's police blotter.

Officers arrested a 40-year old man from Spring Valley after investigating the reported incident, and he was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and choking.

His victim, a 28-year old woman from Pearl River, was treated for her injuries and released.

Along with the domestic incident, there were eight traffic accidents, nine medical emergencies, 14 alarm activations and seven other arrests.

Of the seven, two were on outstanding warrants, one on marijuana possession, two violations of protective orders, a traffic misdemeanor, third and fourth-degree stalking and third-degree criminal trespass.
