ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Airmont man was charged with DWI following a traffic stop Saturday in Nyack, according to the Orangetown Police.
Richardo Belizaire, 29, was stopped around 4:18 a.m. for several traffic violations in Nyack, police said.
When the officer approached the vehicle he detected a strong odor of alcohol and said that Belizaire had glassy eyes, police said.
Belizaire agreed to several field sobriety tests which he failed, along with a Breathalyzer test, which he also failed, police added.
A background check showed that Belizaire had a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years. He was charged with DWI, processed and released.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 6.
