Earlier this year, as part of the rate case settlement, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) directed the company to study the feasibility of developing programs to assist low-income customers. The workshops are part of that process.

Company officials will present a proposed low-income discount program as well as a low-income rebate program at the meetings scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Technology Center on the campus of Rockland Community College in Suffern.

“We encourage interested stakeholders to attend and provide feedback on these proposals,” said Chris Graziano, vice president of SUEZ. “Their ideas can help shape these customer assistance initiatives.”

A draft overview of the proposal is available by calling 845-620-3353 or by accessing it online here.
