A serious multi-vehicle accident was reported late Wednesday morning in New City.

The 11:30 a.m. accident occurred on 21 South Central Highway north of the intersection of South Mountain Road.

There were delays on southbound I-87 between Exit 11 (West Nyack) and Exit 10 (Route 9W) because the right lane was closed for construction.

Stop-and-go delays extended back to Exit 12 (Route 303).
