ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- A stretch of Route 9W is closed in both directions Thursday as a result of a damaged utility pole and hanging wires, Orangetown Police said.
The closure, announced late this morning, is between between Route 340 and South Broadway and is expected to last several hours.

Southbound Route 9W: Westbound Old Mountain Road to southbound South Boulevard to southbound Tweed Boulevard back to southbound Route 9W.
Northbound Route 9: Northbound Tweed Boulevard to northbound South Boulevard to eastbound Old Mountain Road back to Route 9W.
