MONSEY, N.Y. – A convicted child molester who recently moved from Brooklyn to Israel to avoid a criminal charge in a new assault case apparently has a habit of suing those who attempt to ensure the public knows about his past and his most recent addresses, including a rabbi from Monsey, according to lohud.com.

Yona Weinberg, who is suing Rockland’s Rabbi Daniel Eidensohn because Eidensohn tweeted about his whereabouts, is also suing Monsey’s Rabbi Yakov Horowitz for defamation, according to lohud.com.

Eidensohn said Weinberg’s behavior is “a classic example of the sex offender as a bully,” according to lohud.com, which reported that the child molester’s lawsuits come as New York City Police investigate whether he injured an 11-year-old boy while pushing him into a coat rack.

Weinberg, who denied he moved to Israel to avoid a new criminal case, will be charged in connection with the 11-year-old’s complaint should he return to the Unites States, a spokesman for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office told lohud.com.
