RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A driver lost control of their SUV on Route 17 in Ramapo on Monday and slammed into a utility pole which resulted in the roadway being partially blocked from downed lines, according to the Ramapo Police Department.
Traffic was backed up for several hours as Orange and Rockland Utilities repaired the damaged pole. Injuries were very minor and the accident remains under investigation, police said.
