Grace VanderWaal's Victory March This Weekend In Suffern

SUFFERN, N.Y. - The forecast for Saturday in Suffern suggests some rain showers are likely with temperatures expected to hover in the low 60s, according to the National Weather Service. But it's unlikely the weather will dampen the mood.

Grace VanderWaal will march down Lafayette Avenue in celebration of her victory on NBC's "America's Got Talent." Since being crowned the champ, the 12-year-old has appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" and more recently signed a record deal with Columbia Records.

The parade kicks off at 5 p.m., beginning in Commuter Lot A on Orange Avenue before marching up Lafayette Avenue and ending off Washington Avenue in the Avon parking lot.

The village of Suffern, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Farmer's Market will offer several activities before the parade at 3 p.m. where 20 craft and specialty vendors will be on hand along with Artytime Painting Party, face painting and candy necklace making by Tender Loving Care Day Care, create-a-parade sign activity with VanderWaal friend, Julianna, and carnival game stations from Gate Hill Day Camp.

Oh, and a stage will be set up for VandrWaal at the end of the parade.
