MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Arun Basuljevic of Mahopac played a key role for the Georgetown University men’s soccer team as it clinched the Big East Conference regular season championship.
Basuljevic, a sophomore, started all 17 games for the Hoyas and has five goals and four assists.
The midfielder from Mahopac High has been a fixture in Georgetown’s lineup since his freshman year. He was named the 2014 Soccer America Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the Men's All-Freshman First Team. He was also the Big East Rookie of the Year and a unanimous selection to the Big East All-Rookie squad
Georgetown defeated Creighton, 2-1, to clinch a share of the Big East championship. The Hoyas, 13-2-2, played next in the Big East semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 12.
