PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Putnam Valley Central School District is doing what it can for the people of Puerto Rico.
The school has hosted a benefit concert and dinner, with the high school Make A Difference Club organizing a donation drive. The girls' soccer team also collected donations and Governor Andrew Cuomo sent a representative to say thank you.
"Once again, Putnam Valley has reaffirmed its reputation as a community that cares," Superintendent Dr. Frances Willis said. " I am very proud and very grateful to everyone who participated.
Collected donations were delivered directly to Camp Smith in Cortlandt to be shipped to Puerto Rico.
