BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Thousands of people turned out for the 24th annual birds of prey event at Green Chimneys in Brewster on Sunday, according to lohud.com.
The tradition began to raise money so the youth treatment agency, a nonprofit, could construct an aviary, said lohud.com.
Sunday's event showcased the agency's expanse wildlife center, reported lohud.com.
The center, on a 175-acre site, currently rescues 150 birds yearly and has a wildlife center for "American bald eagles to camels" to be housed, lohud.com reported.
