The scam begins when FedEx delivers an iPhone to a residence that did not order one, Forks Township police said on Facebook.

A few minutes later, a man described as Hispanic and in his 20s comes to the door wearing clothing that resembles a FedEx uniform or a fluorescent vest, police said.

The man asks for the package back because it “has the incorrect code,” authorities said.

At least two incidents have been reported in Forks Township with others in surrounding towns, police said.

Anyone who believes they are being targeted in this scam is asked to contact local police and attempt to get the license plate of the man’s vehicle as he leaves the area.
