During the detail on Tuesday, April 2 in Bedford, which was “conducted in furtherance of (New York State Police’s) mission to ensure highway safety for all users of the roadway," a total of 66 tickets were issued, 46 of which were for speeding violations.
The latest enforcement period comes after several others in recent months. Earlier this year, 52 tickets were doled out during a similar enforcement detail in Somers. Late last year, troopers dished out 62, 52 and 74 tickets during separate details throughout Westchester.
