A 36-year-old man was arrested following a raid on his home in which officers allegedly found a gun, drugs, and cash.
Jason Hood, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was arrested early Tuesday, Dec. 10, when members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Neighborhood Recovery Unit, Emergency Services Unit, and the ATF executed a search warrant at his Maple Street home, said Sgt. Terrence Beam.
The search warrant was executed after an investigation into the sales of controlled substances from that location, he added.
As a result of the investigation, officers recovered and seized a loaded 9mm handgun, ammunition, a quantity of phencyclidine, 25 ounces of marijuana, more than $2,100, and other articles used in the distribution of controlled substances, said Beam.
Hood was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.
Hood was held pending arraignment.
