Danbury Firefighters Rescue Dog Before He Goes Down The Drain

DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury firefighters came to the aid of a dog with its foot stuck in a tub drain Tuesday in a Main Street apartment, according to a Facebook post.

A Shift Engine Co. 22, Truck 1, Squad 1 and Car 30 were dispatched to 51 Main St. for the rescue. 

"Units worked delicately to remove the dog from the tub," the post said. Squad 1 then used the Dremel tool to remove the plumbing parts from the dog's foot while the owner comforts the dog. 

"The dog was successfully rescued without injury," the post said.
