The shooting of a 22-year-old City of Poughkeepsie man took place around 10:44 a.m., on Tuesday, May 7, said City of Poughkeepsie Det. Lt. Matt Clark.

The victim, who was shot multiple times, was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgeries for his wounds.

An investigation by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department has determined that Michael A. "Flyboy" Johnson, 29, of the City of Poughkeepsie, and Terrell "Ace" Watkins, 31, formerly of Queens, were responsible for shooting the 22-year-old, Clark said.

There are currently arrest warrants out charging both men with attempted murder, he added.

It is believed both subjects have fled the state to one of the Carolinas.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these subjects, or who has information on this shooting is urged to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department's confidential Tip Line at (845) 451-7577.
