A 34-year-old man has been charged with felony grand larceny and identity theft after allegedly attempting to withdraw $45,000 from a bank account that did not belong to him. The incident occurred in Rockland County on Wednesday, April 10 at the Affinity Federal Credit Union in Nanuet. Thanks to quick-thinking Metro-North officials and first responders, a person who fell on electrified tracks at a Northern Westchester train station and his father, who leaped in to help him, were rescued from the perilous situation. At least two residential buildings were destroyed during a two-alarm fire in the Hudson Valley that left 24 people homeless. The incident occurred in Orange County at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at 59 and 61 Carter St., in the city of Newburgh.
