MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Pauline Adele Lightfoot Porter, a resident of New Bern, N.C. and formerly of Mahopac, died Nov. 28. She was 83.
Porter was born in Paterson, N.J. to the late Frank and Josephine Lightfoot. Porter moved to Brooklyn, where she met and married Robert Porter in 1956. They were married for nearly 50 years until his death in 2006.
Porter was a graduate of Saint Francis Xavier High School in Brooklyn. For many years, she worked in the customer service department of a national magazine in New York. She was an ardent congregate of St. Paul Catholic Church in New Bern.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth D'Alessandro of New Bern and Leslie Friscia of Torrington, Conn., Thomas Porter of Los Angeles, Robert Porter of Sun City, Ariz., and Richard Porter of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Josephine Danziger of New Bern; and many grandchildren.
A Christian Burial Mass will be conducted at p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church.
Burial at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Virginia will be at a later date.
