SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- Southeast officials may have lost a battle, but they seem determined to win the war, in a protracted fight over a former county clerk’s alleged zoning and building violations, according to a report by The Examiner News.
The Town Board voted recently to appeal a court decision that favored Dennis and Kathleen Sant, who expanded their home in the early 1990s, The Examiner News said.
The Sants, for their part, are claiming that the town’s pursuit of their case is politically motivated and that it enforces its own codes in an inconsistent and purposefully selective way, The Examiner News reported.
