Proceeds from the June 9 event will benefit a pair of local causes, Community Cares and The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation.
“Our annual networking fundraiser is something we look forward to,” said Professional Women of Putnam President Jamie Imperati. “It’s our opportunity to give support and recognition to the local charities and nonprofits that fill so many gaps in our community.”
Imperati offered thanks to the Massaro family, owners of the 5,000 square-foot home on Lake Mahopac’s Petra Island that is serving as the venue for the event, and praised Community Cares and The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation for their efforts to bring assistance to those in need.
Community Cares aims to support families in medical crisis and provides a network of volunteers and businesses willing to provide services while The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation works to fund innovative research and clinical trials aimed at defeating the most aggressive forms of childhood cancer.
The Professional Women of Putnam fundraiser, which is scheduled from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, is open to 40 people who will be transported to the private island by boat. Guests may bring a beverage of their choice, Imperati said.
Entrance to the event costs $75 and reservations must be made in advance. To register, visit the Professional Women of Putnam’s website.
