Carmel Teachers Serve At Restaurant To Combat Hunger

CARMEL, N.Y. – The Carmel Teachers’ Association is teaming up the Putnam Community Action Program and Healy's Corner Restaurant to raise money to fight hunger in the community.

Tuesday ill be "Tip A Teacher" night at Healy’s Corner Restaurant. Carmel teachers will substitute for the regular wait staff and bartenders. They will donate all tips to the Putnam Community Action Program. Restaurant owner Ryan Healy will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to the program.

The buffet is $18; there is also a cash bar. Reservations are required, and can be made by calling Healy’s at (845) 306-7087.
