Mahopac Author, Health Coach Finalist In 'Sexiest Vegan Over 50' Contest

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- A Mahopac author and health coach has been named as one of the top 10 finalists in an animal rights organization’s “Sexiest Vegan Over 50” contest, according to a report in Hudson Valley magazine.

Shanti Urreta, 58, was chosen by PETA Prime, the organization’s online community for baby boomers, the magazine said.

The former Peekskill teacher, and other finalists, embodied the “sexy” qualities of “compassion, altruism, fitness and enthusiasm,” the magazine said.
