With nearly 30,000 NYSEG customers still without power in Putnam County, officials have opened up three comfort stations to assist residents as the region begins recovery efforts from the latest storm to hit the Hudson Valley.
Following the declaration of a State of Emergency in Putnam, New York State Police officials announced the opening of three comfort stations, which each contain bathroom facilities and can provide a space to recharge electronic devices.
As of noon on Wednesday, May 16, 27,949 of NYSEG’s 38,310 customers remained without power.
Comfort stations will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Putnam Valley Friendship Center (117 Town Park Lake, Putnam Valley); Patterson Recreation Center (65 Front Street, Patterson) and the Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Association (15 Mt. Ebo Road South, Brewster.)
