Kelly's Corner Takes Home DVlicious Trophy For County's Best Wings

BREWSTER, N.Y. - Kelly's Corner in Brewster recently took top prize in our DVlicious contest for the Best Wings in Putnam County, and Daily Voice stopped by the restaurant Saturday to deliver a first-place certificate, and a banner trumpeting Kelly's win.

Kelly's Corner has been an area favorite for the last 19 years, and owner Kelly Quinn says there are two big reasons - the food and the family atmosphere.

"I think we're truly a family restaurant," Quinn told Daily Voice. "Multiple generations. That's part of our success. We have customers who came in as kids, and now they come in as adults. Grandparents, kids, in the middle. ... They all keep coming back."

A sampling of the hot wings and a Kelly's steak sandwich - an obvious lunchtime favorite - made it easy to see why.

"People come back because of the atmosphere, and the consistency of our food," Quinn said.

One of the restaurant's busiest days is coming up - Super Bowl Sunday, when Quinn said they'll crank out "hundreds of dozens" of wings through takeout orders. Kelly's can turn out 25 dozen wings in as little as 15 minutes, with orders made in advance for particular times during the day.
