Max Orwicz, a 17-year-old senior at New Canaan High School, earned the 2018-2019 Foster Cup trophy with five top-five finishes in Foster Cup events.

“Max worked very hard and had an outstanding season,” said PGA Professional Roger Knick, Founder and CEO of the Golf Performance Center. “We look forward to working with him during his senior year and helping him achieve his goal of a college golf scholarship.”

During the year-long Foster and Oiumet Cup Series, junior golfers try to earn points as they compete for a scholarship for the Academy's current year. Points are accumulated through high performance in GPC Academy eligible events as well as community service, academic performance, overall leadership and commitment to GPC’s founding principles.

“I’m honored to win the Foster Cup trophy,” said Orwicz. “Roger and the team at the GPC do a great job, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done to help me grow and improve my game.”
