Some Village Elections This Week In Westchester, Putnam: Here's A Rundown

Residents in 15 Westchester County and Putnam County villages will head to the polls o make their votes to elect mayors, trustees and local judges.

On Tuesday, March 19, voters will head to the polls to make their selections. Petitions for potential candidates were due last month, with some being challenged in court. 

Elections will be uncontested in Briarcliff Manor, Bronxville, Buchanan, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson, Larchmont, Pelham Manor, Pleasantville, Rye Brook, Scarsdale and Sleepy Hollow. There will be contested elections in Port Chester, Pelham, Tuckahoe and Nelsonville in Putnam. 

Local candidates running for office include:

  • Nelsonville

What's on the ballot: Mayor, 2 trustee seats; all are for 2-year terms.

Mayor: William P. O'Neill (incumbent), Christopher Caccamise;

Trustee: Alan W. Potts (incumbent), Dove Helena Pedlosky, Lisa Mechaley;

Two trustee seats and the mayor's position are being contested, each for a two-year term.

Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. at the municipal building, 258 Main St.

  • Port Chester

Mayor: Richard Falanka (incumbent);

Trustee: Luis Marino (incumbent), Daniel Breakwood (incumbent), Bart Didden (incumbent), Frank Ferrara (incumbent), Greg Adams (incumbent), Alex Payan, Joan Grangenois-Thomas;

The mayor serves a two-year term, while trustees serve three-year terms.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

  • Pelham

Mayor: Candace Ripoll, Chance Mullen;

Trustee: Stephen Doka, Arthur Long, LeRoy Marriott, Ariel Spira-Cohen, Michael Carpenter, Lisa Hill-Reis;

All positions serve two-year terms;

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Town Hall, at 34 Fifth Ave. 

  • Tuckahoe

Mayor: Greg Luisi, John Fitzpatrick;

Trustee: Gina Lee, Umberto Baldassarra, Harmeet Goindi, Renée Howell;

All positions serve two-year terms;

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Tuckahoe Community Center at 71 Columbus Ave.
