This letter is in support of the Democratic slate for Pound Ridge Town Board. In candor, the Town was more progressive when there was a Democratic majority on the Board. There were fresh ideas and willingness to try new things, like TEP. My choice for Supervisor is Kevin Hansan. What he may lack in first hand experience running a town, he makes up for in having built a successful business advising towns in more efficiently running themselves. He will not be bound by “we have always done it that way,” and he will be open to the ideas of others because he will need their counsel and support. Thus his approach will be innovative as well as more open and inclusive than the current administration.

Diane Briggs is super smart, digs into the issues, listens to everyone’s views and then puts her full energies into the best solution she has discovered. The fact that she has shown how to raise money will be an added advantage.

Dan Paschkes has devoted many years to the Town Board, often as a moderating influence. Some of his ideas have been frustrated by being in the minority. He deserves the chance to further some of those initiatives as a member of the majority. His insights as an attorney in general practice in the community and as a member of the Ambulance Corps are always informed and helpful.

I urge you to vote for the Pound Ridge Democratic ticket come November 7.
