A man and woman from Westchester were busted by officers in Fairfield County allegedly selling cocaine to people in Greenwich, police said.
Earlier this year, the Greenwich Police Department Narcotics Section received information that Cortlandt Manor resident Lewis Dayne, 41, sells cocaine to customers in Greenwich, prompting an extensive investigation.
Police said that the investigation resulted in search warrants being obtained for Dayne, which were executed on Monday, April 15.
According to investigators, the search warrants resulted in the seizure of approximately 5.4 grams of alleged cocaine and the arrest of Dayne and Yonkers resident Yajaira Coss, 32, who was a passenger in the car at the time of the bust and was found to be in possession of marijuana and prescription pills.
Dayne was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Coss was arrested and charged with possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Both were released and are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Tuesday, April 30 to respond to the charges.
