Two Nabbed For Selling Vaping Products To Minors During Long Island Sting Operation

Two people were arrested for selling vaping products to minors during a sting operation titled "Vape Out."

The operation was carried out on Thursday, Oct. 10, by using underage agents (under the age of 21) working with detectives from the Narcotics Vice Squad, said the Nassau County Police.

During the sting, the group visited various stores known to sell vaping products, the department said.

As a result of the operation, the following individuals were arrested for selling those restricted products:

  • Chu Jian Zheng, 43, of Brooklyn. Sold four JUUL Mint Pods to a person under 21 at Happiness & Fortune Grocery, 246 North Central Ave., Valley Stream
  • Melson Manigault, 22, of Rosedale. Sold two JUUL Mint Pods to a person under 21 at Gulf, 245 Linden Blvd., Elmont

Both were charged with the sale of age-restricted products and released on an appearance ticket.
